In the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Deep Creek is the perfect place for summer hiking with a breeze cooled by cold mountain waters and pristine mountain scenery. For your viewing pleasure, there are three waterfalls within close walking distance to the Deep Creek area parking lot and trailhead. See Juney Whank Falls first, then connect the trails and make your way up Deep Creek Trail. After seeing Tom Branch Falls continue up the trail to Indian Creek Falls.
Located about a mile from trailhead, Indian Creek Falls is 200 feet above the intersection of Deep Creek Trail and Indian Creek Trail. This is also where the waters of Indian Creek pour into Deep Creek. The falls are 25 feet high and drop into a small pool. The pool and base of falls can be accessed by a small side trail. A great place to get your feet wet and cool off.
On your way out of Deep Creek, stop for an ice cream near the park entrance and your summer day will be complete!
